Notes on Quotation Marker

Kansai people tend to drop the quotation marker と (Note that dropping って／と is ungrammatical in the standard.)

パパに宿題(しゅくだい)もうした、言(ゆ)うて。
（ST パパに宿題はもうしたって言 (い)って。）

しよ思(おも)たけどせえへんかった。 
（ST しようと思ったけどしな かっ た。）

Therefore, XというY tends to become Xいう／ゆうY in Kansai. (XちゅうY is also commonly used. ちゅう is a concentrated form of という.)

あの会社(かいしゃ)、何(なん)ちゅうたかなあ。
(ST あの会社は何て言ったか なあ。）

さやさちゃん言う子(こ)から電話(でんわ)あったで。
(ST さやさちゃんって言う子か ら電話があったよ。）
